What is NDIS?
The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is a groundbreaking initiative that provides funding to over 500,000 Australians living with disability. The NDIS helps participants access essential services and supports to live a full and independent life. Beyond funding, it offers valuable information and connections to community services like doctors, sports clubs, libraries, schools, and support groups. It also outlines which supports are provided by different state and territory governments.

NDIS – What does it mean?
National: The NDIS is a nationwide program, jointly funded by federal and state governments, ensuring equal access to supports for Australians everywhere.
Disability: The scheme supports people with intellectual, physical, sensory, cognitive, and psychosocial disabilities. Early intervention supports are also available for eligible participants and children with developmental delays.
Insurance: The NDIS offers peace of mind to all Australians, knowing that if they, or a loved one, are born with or acquire a significant disability, they will receive the support they need to thrive.
Scheme: The NDIS is not a welfare system. It is not means-tested. It is a support system designed to enhance skills, promote independence, and encourage community participation over time.

Once you have your approved NDIS plan, Ranger Support Services is here to support you! We can help coordinate and deliver the services and supports funded under your plan, ensuring you achieve your goals and live life to the fullest.
